DIVISION DIRECTOR, STORE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Work Location: Beijing or Shanghai, China

Currently, we’re looking for a Division Director on behalf of our client.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Formulate the short-term, medium, and long-term development strategy of decoration division, and adjust it according to the changes of internal and external environment.
2. Upgrade the store image. Manage design teams on concept development and design of brand stores and offices in China.
3. Oversees and optimizes construction projects: procurement of contractor, project program (basic decoration, HAVC, Fire etc.), logistics, project quality control, inspection, etc.
4. Manage budget, contract and payment of all construction projects, especially for special and important projects.
5. Make critical decisions and support supplier management and quantity survey.
6. Supervise and support indirect procurement team to ensure quality and reduce cost of furniture and construction.
7. Manage and support supply chain team: batch order, master data, delivery management.
8. Communicate with internal and external teams and resources (retail, shopping mall, design agencies, local design institute, contractors, supplier, etc.)
9. Keep updated information about competitor, trends, and customer initiatives, adjust and improve strategy according to the market change.
10. Setting up competitive teams, maintains a climate that attracts, retains and motivates talents. Train, appraise, supervise, develop and guide qualified personnel as well as support and oversee cross-functional teams throughout the Organization.
11. Leverage tools and resources to exceed business objectives including but not limited to annual performance goals.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of working experience in relevant area
• Strong creativity mind and team management
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or relevant/equivalent experience
• Major projects experience working on high-end retail, hospitality, or similar projects
• Cost-minded: good negotiation skills to ensure low cost of materials and processing
• Ability to travel as needed 50 - 75% of the time to projects throughout designated region
• Effective in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent in English
• Willing to work in Beijing or Shanghai
