We’re seeing a Creative Category Design & Line Manager for our client to drive the casual, sports and outdoor collections for the Chinese market. If you thrive on blending creativity with strategy and leading teams to deliver trendsetting design, this is your opportunity to make an impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Be fully responsible for the success of the collection, steer the creative direction of the collections
  2. Analyze weekly sales reports and act accordingly
  3. Manage the collection’s design team – mentor a talented design team and shape the next generations of fashion leaders.
  4. Collaborate with other Design Managers and the creative team to elevate collections, leveraging consumer insights and market trends to meet the unique needs of the Chinese menswear market.
  5. Collaborate with other Design Managers to shape seasonal creative direction, including key concepts, trend stories, and color card
  6. Participate in inspiration trips and supplier visits to spark cutting-edge ideas
  7. Lead Collection Handoffs: handoff comprehensive design packages (including fabrics, color ways, and style briefs) to the buying team, ensuring clarity and alignment with brand vision.
  8. Oversee sample reviews to validate quality, fit and adherence to design specifications.
  9. At sample stage, actively participate in the approval process with Creative team
  10. Manage sample deadlines and coordinate with sales stakeholders to align production schedules with commercial objectives.
  11. Maintain seamless collaboration with the buying team

Key Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in fashion design or equivalent industry experience
  2. At least 5 years of experience in menswear design, including at least 2+ years team leading experience.
  3. Proven success in creating commercially viable collections for casual, sportswear and outdoor apparel categories.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Chinese menswear trends, consumers preferences, and cultural nuance.
  5. excellent in using Adobe Illustrator (a must), Photoshop and MS Office
  6. Fluent English (written & spoken) with exceptional collaboration skills; Mandarin is a plus.
  7. Very good commercial understanding
  8. Good communication skills, team player and good at expressing ideas
  9. A dynamic team player who combines creativity with execution excellence—thriving under pressure, delivering on deadlines, and inspiring innovation through collaborative leadership
