FASHION CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Work location: Hangzhou or Guangzhou China

Are you a Creative Leader with proven womenswear designing experience? Are you experienced in managing and leading a big team with good management and leadership skills?

Do you have experience in fast fashion brands and premium brand? Are you willing to make a change and would like to relocate to China?

Currently, we’re looking for a Creative Director for a leading womenwear brand in China. Pls check this role, if it match your profile and interest, pls send your application ASAP

Key responsibilities:

  1. Be a creative leader, drive innovation & commercial newness of the brand. Guide design team to recognize the latest Asian & global trends & clearly understand the brand’s target consumer
  2. Recognize the key selling point of all garments, lead the team to improve or enhance the original inspiration
  3. Provide coaching and problem-solving support for the team to enable them to perform at their best in fittings, ensure that they recap & can give clear directions
  4. Competent at driving a balanced & structured research that covers not only the trends & KOLS but also the market leaders, fabrics, details & any business opportunities that support your categories.
  5. Lead the team in sample buying & inspiration trips - hunt for the new, cool & commercial products & be an expert at facilitating the communication between your teams to bring out the best ideas & concepts
  6. Oversee & drive the fabric research & upgrade for the brand. Regularly visit the fabric fairs, bring innovation & build up your teams’ fabric library
  7. Oversee the library of finishing & detail ideas - ensure your Managers are kept updated.
  8. Oversee that the existing Core Library, seasonally meet with the Buying teams to form a strategic updated the offers
  9. Optimize workflow and product development processes to ensure the team delivers creative and innovative designs, ensuring all the best sellers are covered, and the offer is based on strong research and innovation
  10. Organize Development Meetings. Ensure Designers are prepared with their data, present their garments convincingly & are able to create & resolve problems on the spot
  11. Lead the Post-Development Meetings & drive the concepts across categories
  12. Work closely with Head of buying and Category design Mangers.
  13. Lead by example and exercise good judgment to foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the team
  14. Be a leader & role model in effective communication: meet regularly with the team, ensure a pleasant & productive team environment
  15. Maintain strong relationships with the Buying, Retail, EC & Senior Management
  16. Continuously build up yours & your teams commercial knowledge: spending time in stores & with our competitors. Study from both Retail & EC. Be fully immersed in the Chinese Web sites & social media.
  17. Provide on-going workshops & a productive environment to develop & nurture your teams skills, and show initiative, contribute & action ideas to improve your category
  18. Grow the brands total sales year on year, through development and implementation of effective creative and commercial strategies matching with TA

Your qualifications:

  1. Minimum bachelor’s degree in Fashion
  2. Proven experience in designing fashion womenswear
  3. Proven experience of managing and leading the team
  4. Good management and leadership skills to create a positive and energetic team
  5. Strong team building and planning skills
  6. Strong portfolio
  7. Creative design flair and strong sense for fast moving trends
  8. Excellent knowledge of fabrics and attention to details is an absolute must
  9. Excellent knowledge of Adobe programs (Photoshop/ Illustrator)
  10. User knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
  11. Strong team player with ability to prioritize workload as well as being able to work on many different collections at once.
  12. Work level English
