AREA SALES MANAGER, NORTHERN GERMANY

In order to strengthen the position for the Danish company “Emballagegruppen A/S” on the Northern German market (from the Danish border to Hannover in Niedersachsen) the company is looking for an Area Sales Manager. The Area sales manager will be responsible for building up sales of packaging to new customers as well as maintaining and taking care of existing customers. Emballagegruppen has a varied range of products - consisting of packaging for food and nonfood products - ranging from packaging for fruit and vegetables, packaging for convenience food and packaging for take away

As our new Area Sales Manager, your Key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsible for your own customers within your area, booking meetings and conducting meetings on your own
  • Identify, research and contact to prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business
  • Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
  • Respond to more complex customer enquiries, negotiate commercial terms, and conclude sales orders to meet revenue goals
  • Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the Emballagegruppen organization, so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands
  • Develop/implement long-term sales plans for key customers and accounts and monitor and adapt sales activities so that these objectives are met
  • Establish prices in close cooperation with the customer service department and make offers for the specific customer

Your profile:

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, where you have obtained a good knowledge of the packaging industry, preferably carton & paper
  • As an Area Sales Manager, you must have the “hunter” characteristics and of course possess strong commercial skills and be driven by the results you generate.
  • You are used to travel frequently in your region (Schleswig-Holstein and Niedersachsen) for customer meetings
  • You work out of your own home and you should preferably have tried this before
  • As a person you are proactive, extrovert, and have excellent networking and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal
