WOMENSWEAR DESIGNER

Job location：Beijing, China

Are you an experienced women’s down designer looking to join a leading high street fashion group in China?

Currently, we’re looking for a Women’s Down Designer for ONLY, one of the womenswear brands at Bestseller Fashion Group.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Working on the heavy woven line (design and management)
2. Analyze and take immediate action on sampling fast moving trends, based on inspiration trips in Asia (Tokyo/ Seoul/ Hong Kong) as well as local research and follow up of the trend forecasting’s websites
3. Analyze sales figures and orders, and be ahead of trend and consumer needs for ONLY
4. Constantly upgrade the fabric quality, fitting and product according to the trend and market demands
5. Constantly source latest offers, trimmings, fabrics, and treatments from suppliers in China (in cooperation with buying department)
6. Conduct fitting reviews with buyers to improve product, look, fabric, fitting etc. in weak areas, and ensure constant training in latest fittings, shapes, and details for Technicians and Buyers.
7. Responsible for the strong trend visualization and styling of the final products
8. Directly report to Design Manager of ONLY

Requirements:

1. Qualified designer- minimum Bachelor degree in Fashion design
2. Proven experience in designing heavy woven (minimum 3-4 years)
3. Proven experience of managing and leading the team (minimum 1 year)
4. Strong portfolio demonstrating the feeling for premium wool designs
5. Creative design flair and strong sense for fast moving trends
6. Excellent knowledge of fabrics and attention to details is an absolute must
7. Excellent knowledge of Adobe programs (Photoshop/ Illustrator)
8. User knowledge of Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
9. Strong team player with ability to work on a one-to-one basis with local buyers
10. English skills (minimum communication level), both written and spoken
11. Interested in Chinese culture and society is a plus, willingness to live in Beijing
