Work Location: Beijing, China

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a 40+ person buying and technical team as a strategic partner to Design. Your mission: optimize the design-to-market pipeline and leverage direct-sourcing opportunities to unlock the brand’s next phase of market scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Management of 40+ team members (buying, technicians and fitting girls) on category teams.
2. Drive product development by supporting the total design process and ensuring to bring the latest developments/techniques/fabrics.
3. Order placement with suppliers including negotiating purchase prices, quality and deliveries, etc. to meet KPI’s for margins, quality and lead-time/delivery on-time
4. Develop & execute a competitive production strategy (incl. speed to market in trends and repeats) and further develop supplier based to meet the objectives
5. Collection planning responsible and create together with product director/creative director a detailed collection plan for each season
6. Lead partnerships with cross functional departments/brands to develop long term strategies to achieve goals of the business with parameters of cost and quality targets and delivery schedules
7. Guarantee fit and quality remains at high level and kept up-to-date

Qualifications:

1. Strong leadership
2. Bachelor degree in textiles or proven track record in the fashion industry
3. Ability to set priorities and work organized
4. Strong analytical skills and good business mindset
5. Strong fashion sense and ability to implement new trends in the product development process
6. You have strong negotiation skills
7. You have good English skills, both spoken and written
8. Eager to bring the best product to the shop floor
9. You have at least 15 years of relevant work experience with buying/development from the fashion industry.
10. Proven excellent leadership skills and strong management track-record
11. Hand-on product skills and skilled in the technical area
